Playing

I was reading in Pink's book about work and play. When I read the part about Ford saying that work and play is a toxic combination. I couldn't imagine my job without play. We spend most of our time working and if we didn't play how stupid would the day be. I have found myself rolling down hallways on tables, goofing off with kids, and palying jokes with coworkers. I believe work and play should go hand in hand.

  1. One of my education professors in grad school said, "Work is a child's play." Unfortunately, too many of us forget how to make our work playfully meaningful.

  2. Laughter is so important and often we forget to incorporate the balance between being playful and being productive in our professional lives. I really enjoyed "playing" and laughing with you and the rest of our group this weekend in Dr. Kendrick's class. It really does make the difference when we stop to enjoy and not be so serious or task-oriented.
